Ukraine is in the TOP-20 at the Tokyo Olympics medal count
The XXXII Olympic Games, which lasted from July 23 to August 8 in Tokyo are over. Ukraine is in the TOP-20 among 206 participating countries in terms of the total number of awards won. Our 153 participating athletes have won 19 Olympic medals (1 gold, 6 silver and 12 bronze).

“Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together” - IOC Session approves historic change in Olympic motto
The Session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) approved a change in the Olympic motto that recognises the unifying power of sport and the importance of solidarity. The change adds the word “together” after a dash to “Faster, Higher, Stronger”. The new Olympic motto now reads: “Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together”.

Bright seeing-off of the National Team of Ukraine to the Olympic Games in Tokyo on the air of the telethon
In less than two weeks, the most anticipated event for the sports world, the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, will start in the capital of Japan. Traditionally, on the eve of the departure of the National Olympic Team of Ukraine to the host countries of the Games, its solemn seeing-off takes place. Realities have made their own adjustments, therefore, in order to preserve the health of our Olympians and taking into account the harsh conditions of the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee on the Covid protocol, the procession of the national team was replaced by an extraordinary and bright four-hour telethon, which took place on the air of the official broadcaster of the Olympic Games in Tokyo in Ukraine - TV channel UA : First.

Today, at the NOC of Ukraine Executive Board meeting, according to nominations submitted by the national federations and adhering to the international and national selection system, there was approved the nominal composition of the Ukrainian Olympic Team for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo 2020.

EYOF FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA 2023 UNVEILS OFFICIAL LOGO
The official logo of the Winter EYOF Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) 2023 was unveiled in Trieste, Italy on 25 June 2021. During the presentation of the logo, Governor of the region Massimiliano Fedriga emphasized the symbol of the edelweiss as a reference to the rootedness with the territory, in the sign of the values of the mountain tradition.

Olympic Day 2021: Ukraine is recharging with sports
June 23 is a special day for sports admirers all over the world, which celebrates Olympic values. On this day in 1894, in Paris, the International Olympic Committee was created at the initiative of Baron Pierre de Coubertin. In Ukraine, as in over 200 countries worldwide, the anniversary of the IOC foundation is marked with a variety of activities. This year, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine holds them under the slogan "Recharge with Sports" and they are dedicated to the major event of the year - the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in the capital of Japan.

The Host City Contract for the 17th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) was signed today in Maribor, Slovenia. The agreement was inked by European Olympic Committees (EOC) President Spyros Capralos, Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi and their counterparts Mayor of Maribor Aleksander Saša Arsenovič and President of the Slovenian Olympic Committee Bogdan Gabrovec.

50th Аnniversary General Assembly wraps up in Athens
The milestone 50th Anniversary General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) came to a close today in Athens, with the umbrella body for the continent’s 50 National Olympic Committees looking confidently toward the future. EOC Executive Committee Member and Chair of the EOC Strategic Agenda 2030 Working Group Djordje Visacki provided a report together with external consultant Jon Tibbs on the initiative to help shape the direction of the organisation over the next decade.
